TOC Welcomes Adam Almaguer, MD, Total Joint Surgeon, to Practice – Tallahassee Reports

The Tallahassee Orthopedic Clinic (TOC) recently announced that Adam Almaguer, MD has joined its team of providers. Dr. Almaguer is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in knee, hip and joint replacement. It will serve patients at TOC’s Capital Medical Clinic. Dr. Almaguer will treat patients with conditions affecting muscles, bones, and joints, focusing on hip preservation and replacement.

Dr. Almaguer is originally from Florida and grew up in Miami and Tallahassee. He graduated with honors from Florida State University with a BS in Biology. After earning his medical degree at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham. Dr. Almaguer received his Fellowship training at Colorado Orthopedic Centers, focusing on adult reconstruction and hip preservation.

He specializes in the preservation, investigation and restoration of hip function and musculoskeletal issues. He performs hip arthroplasties using various approaches adapted to the needs of each patient. This includes the minimally invasive, muscle-sparing direct anterior approach and bikini incision. He performs total and partial knee replacements using kinematic alignment. This advanced technique involves the use of robotics or patient-specific 3D printed models and guides, allowing for personalized joint replacement specific to each patient’s unique anatomy.
