The ranking of credit card applications has 13 applications in the Top 10

Like the credit card charges that pile up during the summer holidays, many apps are included in this month’s edition of PYMNTS’ credit card app vendor rankings.

Where last month there were only 10 apps in the top 10, this time there are 13.

This was made possible by three different tie scores, which left spaces available for additional apps to join this elite group of highly ranked apps.

However, there has been no movement at the top, as those who were ranked first, second and third last month still hold those positions.

Now let’s take a closer look at the numbers.

The Top 5

Capital One Mobile retains its place at the top of the list. This month he has a score of 99.

Five points behind runner-up Chase Mobile with a score of 94.

Bank of America Mobile Banking is still third, this time with a score of 89.

In this month’s first position shift, Discover Mobile moved up a tier and now shares the No. 4 spot with Wells Fargo Mobile, which was here last month. Each got a score of 86.

There is another tie at No. 5, with American Express having gained one position since last time and Credit One Bank Mobile having gained two. Each got a score of 78.

Top 10

After a 23-point gap on the field, there is the sixth-place contender. PREMIER Credit Card moved up two places from last time with a score of 55.

Just one dot behind is Tally. With a score of 54, this app entered the top 10 at #7. Because it scored 10 points higher than last time, it’s also this month’s biggest mover and shaker- this.

Two points behind that, in eighth place, we have another tie. MySynchrony has moved up one place since last time, while Cards — Mobile Wallet has gained two. Each got a score of 52.

At No. 9, Barclays US joined the top 10 with a score of 47. As this score is four points higher than last time, this app is another mover and shaker.

One point behind that with a score of 46 – three points more than he got last month – is Mission Lane. This app is another newcomer to the top 10 and closes out this month’s edition of the credit card app vendor rankings.

About: More than half of utilities and consumer finance companies have the ability to digitally process all monthly bill payments. The kicker? Only 12% of them do. The Digital Payments Edge, a collaboration between PYMNTS and ACI Worldwide, surveyed 207 billing and collections professionals at these companies to find out why going digital remains elusive.
