The Quiet Site named to The Times list of ’25 Best Foodie Campsites’

A SUSTAINABLE holiday park has just been named to The Times list of “25 Best Foodie Campsites”.

The Quiet Site in Ullswater, which offers carbon-neutral glamping, camping and luxury cottages, opened a sustainable takeaway shack in accommodation last year specializing in pancakes, bacon rolls and their wood-fired pizzas – helping to earn them the prestigious accolade.

“That’s one of the reasons it works pretty well, because the staff know exactly what they’re doing, we don’t have a full menu, it’s simple and fresh.

“If you only make a few things with a few ingredients, you can still keep it clean and fresh,” he said.

However, the accolades continue to roll in for the company, as it earned a place in the finals of the FSB Environmental/Sustainability Award earlier this year, after winning the award for the North West region in plus winning Cumbrian Holiday Park of the Year. 2022.
