MEEKER — The Meeker Bulldogs rallied from an 8-6 deficit with five runs in the top of the seventh to top the Prague Red Devils and earn a baseball double on Wednesday.
Prague’s Trip Davis and Cade Anderson combined for a five-inning no-hitter as the Red Devils beat the Bulldogs 14-2.
Meeker 11, Prague 8 (Match 2)
Braden Harris went 2 for 5 from the plate with a double and scored two runs as the Bulldogs finished with six hits and overcame five errors.
Kayde Massey (1 for 2) and Mason Fulbright each drove in a run while Blake Weeks went 1 for 2 with three RBIs, a run scored and a walk for Meeker.
The Red Devils picked up four runs in the first set and two in the second for an early 6-0 advantage. The Bulldogs had a fourth five-point shot to within 6-5 and tied it at 6-all with just one score in the fifth before Prague scored a single point apiece in the bottom half of the fifth and sixth.
Davis and Aiden Auld each went 2 for 4. Davis doubled once, drove three home runs and scored three times. Auld also scored once
Eli Greenlee, Conner Cline and Edgar Miranda each hit in one pass.
Fullbright got the pitching victory with Jordan Sellers getting the save for Meeker. Ethan Rich suffered the loss.
Prague 14, Meeker 2 (Match 1)
Davis, the starting pitcher, worked 3 2/3 innings, struck out 10 and walked just two for the pitching victory. Bulldog’s two runs were unearned.
Cade Anderson pitched the final inning 1 1/3 and allowed no walks and struck out three.
Bradon Rojas (1 for 2 with a triple and three runs scored), Greenlee (1 for 3 with a triple) and Auld each drove in two runs. Davis (1 for 3), Anderson (1 for 3) and Conner Cline (one-two) each had an RBI as the Red Devils compiled eight hits.
Harris suffered the pitching loss after getting backup help from Sellers.
Prague scored two points in the first, one in the second, three in the third and eight in the fourth.
