Plainview High School Junior Phoenix Mitchell went to the state’s UIL competition on Friday and returned as the state runner-up. Mitchell took second place in Computer Applications.
He accomplished the feat after coming in first at district and then first at regionals, earning him the trip to Austin.
“I’m so proud of Phoenix! Computer Apps is a highly competitive competition where students integrate Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and complete assignments in 30 minutes,” said Tasha Hughes, Coach at Mitchell’s Computer Apps. “We look forward to competing again next year.”
